I want my art to be understood by others and yet to stimulate thought on other levels other than the first impression. I usually use recognizable objects but combine them in unusual arrangements.

As a former art teacher, I have used many media. Since 1998, I have been experimenting with fabric and paint combined with other materials. I love the tactile feel of fabric and the freedom to add whatever appeals to me. My quilted paintings are inspired by what I see and find, by reading, and by attending other art shows.
